It is hard to believe that we are beginning the last full week of school. We are still putting the finishing touches on our Country Fair, as well as a few surprises. We will finish our Electricity unit and a short unit on Japan. We will continue to read each day and work on some fun math activities. Below I have outlined some of the special events happening during the last 8 days of school:
Monday, June 16th: Silly Socks Day
Tuesday, June 17th: Teach the Teacher Day
Wednesday, June 18th: USA day, wear red, white, and blue
I will provide a pizza party lunch on this day. Please plan on packing any additional snacks you feel your child might want. We will try to eat outside, picnic style, as a class.
Thursday, June 19th: Video Day
Our Country Fair is from 4-5 pm in the gym. The final Power Point presentations will also come home on each student's USB drive. All are welcome to attend!
Friday, June 20th: Wonderful Word Day, bring a new word with you to school
The is our rescheduled Field Day. Third graders should wear green. Also, each student should bring a complete set of clothes to change into after our fun. We will also have our class party in the afternoon.
Monday, June 23rd: eXtra eXercise Today
Tuesday, June 24th: Yahoo Yippee fifth grade graduation
We will walk to Stewart's with our first grade buddies in the afternoon. Please send in the permission slip and $2 as soon as possible.
Wednesday, June 25th: Zoom out of school day!
This is a half day of school, with dismissal at 12:10 pm.
I'm sure I will say this many times between now and the last day of school, but this has been a fantastic year. Thank you all so much for your support!
